At Langston Construction, we strive to provide and maintain a safe and healthy work place, safe equipment and proper materials. Our safety rules and regulations were developed for the protection of our employees, suppliers and customers. Safety inspections are performed each week by the superintendent and the project manager. Weekly safety tool box meetings are also held. We require all employees, suppliers and subcontractors on each jobsite to wear hardhats, steel toe boots and safety glasses. A safety award is issued quarterly to each superintendent and crew member who demonstrate accident prevention and safety excellence through the job site's safety performance during the quarter. Any recordable or lost time accident, trenching and excavation standard violation, equipment accident or failure to guard protruding reinforcing steel disqualifies a superintendent and his crew from the quarterly award. Three (3) violations per quarter from an in-house inspection will also disqualify a superintendent and his crew members. We take safety seriously and therefore require all employees to adhere faithfully to the requirements of our safety policy and rules. Accident prevention and industrial health are just as important to this organization as quality and production. If we work together as a team - we can all work safely.
